You don't need an umbrella...

I never imagined how the "baby shower of the century" (see what we did for my sister last year) could have been matched to make it just as special and unique for us. Once again Nana, Aunt F, Aunt H and VĂ³ (Portuguese for grandma) out did themselves.  To be honest, did I expect less? No, not really from this bunch! I have to admit I somewhat expected something over the top, I just didn't know which direction they would take. All of the thoughtfulness and attention to detail that was put into our special day is something I will always remember and cherish.  Everything from the decorations to the food to the company was perfect. I could not have asked for a better day (except maybe without the 100% humidity)! Love you all!

Here are a few pictures, more to come once they are released to us!

Nana was sneaky in that when she was out to help us move, she managed to smuggle some of mommy's baby belongings back to Miami in her luggage. When I saw the table centerpieces I started to realize that some of the items belonged back in Dallas and put two and two together!

A few things from when daddy was a baby and some Portuguese books.

Diaper cakes and desserts, ladybug Oreo's, strawberry cupcakes and docinhos (Brasilian sweets).

Aunt H turned outfits into cupcakes! Why buy something on Etsy when you can make it for half the cost!

And took to the talents of bow making, let's see if she has hair!

Aunt F tried to make bows too but didn't succeed. But she did make a bow holder!

And each night BGO will go to sleep listening to her Aunt F sing her a lullaby, Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star. There were many tears as this was passed around for all to hear (and it has made me cry on more than one occasion!).

Everyone always says that if we all lived in the same city we should have a business of our own, I finally think they are right!
