Week 16

As I said on the last post daddy headed to Brasil for the weekend so it was just Nana, J and I until Monday morning. While daddy’s away the girl’s will play J And what do girls do best? But none other than shop! And that is what we did since it was raining and yicky all weekend. We went to Northpark both Saturday and Sunday for lunch and to do a little shopping and mall walking. We had lunch one day at La Duni and the other day at La Madeline, two of Nana’s favorite places. I know my child is cute and all but boy is she an attention getter in the mall. Between her smiles and jibber jabber people were constantly stopping us to look at her when he had her out of the stroller that it made shopping hard! Just please don’t touch my baby and give her your germs! Oh yeah and we also put her in the exersaucer for the first time sometime over the weekend. She’s still a little small so we had to use pillows, blakets and towels to prop her up but that didn't bother her, she loved it!

Daddy got home early Monday morning and was greeted with a big toothless smile. He brought J back her first pair of Havianas (flip flops) from Brasil, they are way to big but hopefully by the time she is two they will fit!

J spent her last week at home with Nana. They took some walks, had girl talk, played, did the laundry, and cooked dinners together. I am grateful that J was able to spend another week home (and got to spend some time with both her grandmas) before having to start daycare. And Nana was super excited the day that J rolled over for her. She called me as I was about to leave work screaming that at first I thought something was wrong and then she finally got the words out of her mouth that she had just rolled over! Like I said when Baby G took his first steps for his Grammy, if they can’t have their milestones for their mommy’s/daddy’s it’s better to have them with their grandmas then at daycare. I’m glad she decided to be an over achiever and accomplish the back to front roll sooner rather than later!

What else happened this week? J found her feet which are now the constant source of entertainment. Whether she is on her changing table, on the play mat, sitting with someone or in the car seat she is grabbing her feet. We have also suspected for the last week that she might be teething. She is going to town on her hands, pretty soon she won’t have any fingers left! She also continues to be a motor mouth and is giving mommy a run for her money in the talking department. Have I met my match!
