As I said in the Disney post, there isn't much of a better way than to celebrate your second birthday than in the Magic Kingdom! We set the bar pretty high this year and she is already talking about "my next birthday". I haven't been able to get it on video yet but image her putting her hand across her chest and saying "for my next birthday..." which will be followed by whatever she wants to do, most of the time it is see Mickey or go to Disney World. I'm sure we will be hearing this for a year!
Boy is she two, she's been acting two for the last couple of months, I had forgotten what the terrible two's were like but she quickly reminded us all. Just like her big sister was at this age she is a sass and too big for her britches. Her temper has come out of late, she has started throwing herself on the floor and pouting. Her favorite phrase is "I can't" followed by whatever it is, I keep telling her to stop having a cow to which she replies "I can't have a cow" and "the cows are gone". Our cows up at the corner left for a few weeks but some new ones are back. Her screaming is taking the decibel levels in the house to new heights , maybe vinegar will work on screaming like it did biting?
She had her two year old check up with her new doctor and is doing great. She wasn't to thrilled to be checked out but on the bright side didn't have to get any shots (she still needs one more booster but mommy wasn't prepared for a shot this day). She is up to 26.5 ponds (50%) and is almost three feet tall (87%). I have noticed in the last couple of months that she is losing her Pooh belly and that she is getting taller. She was happy at the end of the visit when she got a slew of Mickey stickers and animal crackers.
On the way back from taking J and Nana to the airport (they headed to Atlanta for a few days) we stopped at the St. Pete Children's Museum. I had heard great things about it and had wanted to go with the girls and this was our excuse since we would be passing by it to head home. C had a great time exploring on her own (without her sister telling her which way to go or what to do). She got to drive a fire truck, make her own pizza, forecast the weather, sort and organize, but her most favorite and what we probably spent over an hour doing was playing in their Publix, shopping for groceries and ringing them up. I think we played in there at least three times for 20 minutes or so at a time and every time she had to put everything back before we left! We need to take J back here one day. After the museum we met daddy for lunch and stopped by his office to meet his staff. C got her very own badge holder and wore it the rest of the day, they are obsessed with daddy's and pulling on his ID.

C got to enjoy being an only child for five days while J was away. She hasn't gotten much one-on-one time with mommy and daddy so it was great to have this special time with her. We went out to dinner, she decided she wanted to try and liked our garlic chicken wings, went out to lunch with Pop Pop, she had a Valentine's donut date with daddy, and had girl time with mommy shopping and running errands.
She went with Mommy to Miami and got to spend a little time with Aunt Boo, Uncle Mikey and baby B. Boy was she glad to see B, she loves her cousin and playing with him and all his toys. Mommy's visit in Miami was short but C got to stay a few extra days and hang out with G&G. They went to the French restaurant for lunch, went to the mall and rode the carousel, went to the park, played in the backyard and did some gardening but most importantly Grandpa cooked her a steak, something both girls expect from him when we visit!
Since going to Disney World she has become more attached to her Mickey Mouse (and also this small Mickey figurine we have). He has to go every where with us now and do everything with her. I pray that we do not lose him while we are out or that would be a GIANT meltdown, I try to get her to leave him in the car so we don't, for the most part she listens and does. She did get a big Mickey from G&G at Disney for her birthday but next time we go I think we need another small one to have a backup.
Here are the pictures from the month.
