This month flew by and the highlight was our trip to Dallas. C was so excited for her first real airplane ride, she got to meet the pilot and see the cockpit, he even offered to let her sit in his chair but she was shy and didn't want to. I wasn't sure what to expect out of this girl on the plane but she was an angel and as good as gold! We had a
great week visiting the Lone Star state, taking the girls to where they
were born and reminiscing on our years there. C's favorite part of the
trip was going to American Girl Doll and having her doll Camille's ears
pierced, she didn't want to get her hair styled because she likes to do it herself! Her favorite thing she ate was a chocolate Sprinkles cupcake and she didn't even offer us a bite! She is already asking again when she can ride on an airplane and where we can go next! It's time to make these girls little travelers!
When
we were in town this month (all together) we laid low and hung out
mostly at home. We did check out the Thursday morning program at our
mall on what was cooking day. The girls got to decorate chefs hats and
aprons, decorate cookies (they skipped the build your own yogurt
parfait) and had cupcakes painted on their faces, for a free event it's
not a bad way to kill some time! We celebrated Father's Day with a BBQ
at G&G's house, would there have been another option? C can put down some steak as long as she has farofa and farina to dip it in!
The
girls spent a little over a week with G&G while mommy and daddy
took a much needed vacation with Aunt Fonz and Uncle Dew, it was the
first big trip we had been on since we went to Europe before J was born
(we've had 4-5 day get-a-ways but 10 days without kids was magical!).
The girls had a great time with G&G and spent lots of time swimming
and eating steak, that is what you do at G&G's house (and they
played lots of Barbies)! They went to the movies and saw Secret Life of
Pets 2, went shopping and to dinner at Kona Grill and of course they had
to go to Wolveshead (and probably more than once). They helped Grandma
make diaper cakes for Auntie V's baby shower and helped make dosinos for
the shower too, they got to roll them in the pink sprinkles and help
decorate them, I wonder how many they actually ate while they did this!
They were happy to see us when we got home, I'm still not sure if they
were more excited for us or their surprises we brought them back!
We ended this month with a quick trip to Miami to celebrate the arrival of their newest girl tribe member! The girls loved getting to help Grandma and I with pre-baby shower planning/decorations/food and enjoyed helping us put it all together that day. They loved getting to decorate onesies and bibs for the baby and make their own combinations of bows and headbands too. This little girl is going to be styling! They helped Auntie V with all of the gifts and were good little helpers putting everything into the nursery for her. I don't know how many doscinos or cupcakes they ate, they were pretty wound up at the end of the party! Auntie V got them a little gift for all of their help, when they opened it up and saw it was American Girl Doll clothes and books they were so excited! They couldn't wait to dress their dolls in their outfits, to which they told me they had glitter on them! It was a great day and we are all so excited for their new baby cousin to join us soon!
Here are the pictures from the month and our trip to Dallas.
