Week 38

The week started off with mommy and daddy getting to go on a short date, thanks to Auntie K and T (they've been having every other Friday night sleepovers so that K can run on Saturday morning and not worry about T). We checked out a new place that opened up new SMU, had some pizza and a few beers!

Saturday morning started with a dip in J's baby pool. She and T had fun, they both love the water! We also installed J's big girl car seat in mommy's car. I was tired of carrying the bucket around and she looked pretty squished in there! J's new ride is sweet and she has plenty of room.

Sunday morning we had breakfast at our usual weekend spot. I think more of J's pancakes end up on the floor than in her mouth! She amuses those around us when we are out and everyone continues to tell us how cute she is. The day she realized that people are paying all of this attention to her she is totally going to eat it up! I also tried for the first time to put the tiniest of a bow in her hair and it actually stayed! Bye bye head squeezers (as Pop Pop calls them), hello bows! Doesn't she look cute :) Aunt Boo we need more!

We are starting to put away the six month clothes, we started with the sleepers since she really couldn't stretch her legs out any more! Her six month pants are also to short, they fit just fine in the waist, so I have deemed them capri's for the rest of the summer. Her nine month wardrobe is starting its debut.

She has perfected her waving bye-bye and sometimes does it with both hands. Now to get her to wave hi, blow a kiss and touch her nose. Mommy has her on a strict learning schedule!

J still has no teeth but that didn't stop us from giving her a piece of apple. At first she wasn't sure but she ended up liking it! Maybe mommy needs to make some homemade chunky apple sauce for her.
