Week 13

My time home with C came to an end this week and it was time for her to start school with her big sister. We  had an pretty easy time dropping off C for her first day, I wasn't a hot mess like I was when we turned J over to strangers for the first time, we know the staff/teachers and know that Miss C is going to be well taken care of just like J has been for over two years. I know that if something is wrong I can trust that they will get a hold of me right away and see the benefits in J of the social interaction she has had since she started there. J was excited for her sister to be coming to school with her and has to help drop her off in her room in the mornings. J's teacher takes her to C see a few times a day to check in on her and she gives me a full report when I go to pick them up!

I did however have (and continue to have) a hard time transitioning back to work. It's not that I don't want to work (the day I had at home with both girls before we left to Miami confirmed this!) it's that I have seen things drastically change since I left at the end of January and it isn't a place that I feel the passion for anymore. It is just a job and one I will continue to stay in and do my best at for now as it allows me the flexibility to be a working mom and have the time I need for our family. I'm off most Fridays through the summer so hopefully that will enable me to get somethings done, prep for the coming week and work on my updates to my blog since I haven't updated since I started back at work.

Enough about me and onto C. Oh wait...mommy had a birthday too this week! I spent the day with some much needed alone time (I only worked MWF this week in my transition back). I did get the girls a little early from school so that I could spend some time with them and give them both a bath before we headed to dinner. C was an angel had her bottle and slept through the rest of our dinner. She really is an easygoing baby and is much more adjusted to being out and going with the flow than J was at her age. We were so strict with J when she started on a good schedule that we were always home for nap and most feeding times to keep her in her rhythm. It's harder the second time around when we have an active two and a half year old that doesn't want to be home! C is learning to nap anywhere but in her crib!

Speaking of her crib...we're making some progress of getting her out of our bedroom and the rock-n-play. Sleeping in a crib at school is also helping, I figured they could be the bad guys and not mom! C had her three month birthday and there aren't any new things to report from the last two weeks. She's becoming more advanced in what she is doing but can't recall anything new.

I did dress her up and take her picture in the basket with her friends just as I did for J when she was about the same age.

Someone is a snorer like her Pop Pop!

Here are the pictures from the week.
