We made another trip to Miami this month, to wait on the arrival of the girls new cousin and help Nana and Pop Pop pack up for their move to the West Coast. The girls and I left a few days before daddy and mommy had the brilliant idea to take them bouncing before we left. Two hours of bouncing plus lunch at Chick-fil-A made for some good riders in the car (that paired with movies, in car DVD player is a MUST from now on)!
We spent just shy of two weeks in Miami and it was a busy time! Baby B arrived a few days after we got there and J got to be the big cousin and go and visit them in the hospital. When we got to the hospital she reminisced from when C was born, she was only 26 months but still remembers daddy taking her up the elevator, walking down the hallway and into the hospital room to meet C. She was excited to meet her new cousin and even got to hold him until she had enough and wanted Uncle Mikey, things don't change.
While in Miami J got to meet Tia Aline and Cousin Lia who were visiting from Brasil. We had some BBQ's, celebrated Uncle Gus' birthday early and went to Monty's where J liked seeing the boats. The girls spent a lot of time with Grandpa and daddy, Grandma spent a lot of time shopping with Aline and Lia (for her wedding dress and other things) and Mommy spent a lot of time packing up Nana and Pop Pop's house. The time flew by (partly because we were busy the entire time), said goodbye to my childhood home, packed up two full cars (to include Lucy) and headed home.
We visited the bounce place one rainy day and made a new friend (who has red hair just like J), J was also happy that C had interest in bouncing with her this time. She got a kick out of attempting to make videos of C and I sliding down the second biggest slide. This kid has no fear and just whizzes right down.
There was no camp or school this month so we pulled out the work books (thanks Aunt Boo) and practiced tracing, coloring, numbers, shapes and letters. J loves to work in her "school book" and anxiously awaits when I will let her out of her room at nap time so that she can get a few pages done before C wakes up. I haven't measured her but I could tell from her clothes that all of a sudden she sprouted, we pulled out the size 4T clothes and she is super excited about her new wardrobe, she can't wait to get dressed each morning to wear something new! She dresses all by herself from head to toe, I put her play/school clothes at her reach so she does the picking and dressing all by herself, she is good at matching outfits too!
The month closed with Nana and Pop Pop moving to their new city and temporary place. J is still grasping that we don't have to go far to visit or see them. I think when we go back to Miami she is going to be a bit confused that they aren't there.
Here are the pictures from the month.
