Back to school

J finally started school today...YAY!!! I thought this day would never come since others have been back at school since August 24th, her schools typically doesn't start until after Labor Day but since it is so late this year they started September 1. To gear up for school she got a new wardrobe of size 4 clothes, new Minnie Mouse light up shoes, we went to meet the teacher and created her own bulletin board space in the kitchen, ready to start the three year old class with a bang! Daddy went to work late this morning and mommy made her favorite pancakes for breakfast. We all then piled in the car to drop off J, she held daddy's hand going into school but once she was in her room (and it was very chaotic since it was the first day, I'm proud of myself that I remembered to sign her in!) she found the dress-up dolls and was just fine. I think we there all of five minutes before we kissed her goodbye, she was ready and acted like such a BIG girl (no shyness, no fake crying, no clinging to mom).

When I picked her up the teacher said she had a great day. She told me she played in the kitchen, traced, played with the doll house, had a bathroom break and ate all of her lunch. She said she loved school and can't wait to go back (and she thanked me for letting her go to school, she is very big on the thank you's lately and thanks us for everything)! I can't wait to hear what she tells daddy tonight at dinner.

***UPDATE*** When we sat down to dinner we started to ask her about her day. She answered a few questions, said she played outside, had a snack, ate lunch and read a book. She then proceeded to say "Mom, can you please just let me eat!".
