71 months

Before school started again we took a day trip to Orlando to check out the Crayola Experience there, we had bought an annual pass for not much more money this summer when we were in Dallas and the girls kept bugging me to take them, so we went. If you've been once you've seen enough, after an hour or so we were bored, went and cashed in our tokens for personalized crayons and went on our way. We had some lunch and then spent the rest of the time in the American Girl Doll store which was more up their alley. We got brushes for their dolls so we (as in mommy) can style and fix their hair and they got to see the new doll of the year, and every other doll that they want and keep adding to their list, C is in love with Rebecca and says that is her next doll! They did let me and the associate know how small the store was and that they have been to the Dallas and Chicago stores, both of which we learned are the flagship stores!

No one was ready for school to start back up after Winter Break and get up in the mornings. The first week back kicked off with reports cards and awards assemblies from the second quarter. C got all 3's, 4's and E's and continues to love reading and math. She received the Top Gator award again this quarter for the most gator baits in her classroom, she was acting like her sister and didn't want any pictures taken! They danced and grooved in PE this month, one of the PE teachers is a Zumba instructor and brought her skills to PE for a couple of weeks. The kids had fun doing the ChaCha slide, YMCA, macarena, chicken dance and many other dances I can't remember. C showed off what she learned nightly, sometimes she was a little too crazy and wound herself up before bedtime! The kids probably burned more calories and exerted more energy dancing than some of the other activities they tell me they do in PE.

Soccer started back up this month. The girls are back to playing on the same team, they ended up combining K-2 because there wasn't enough registration, nice for us that we only have to be out there for two hours and not three! They quickly reminded us that they need Dunkin on the way to the fields so we are back in our tradition of a donut and egg wrap to fuel them! Daddy is sitting out coaching this season and getting to enjoy the sidelines and yelling at them from there! C always gives it her all and pays attention in practice, then it comes time to play the game and C is out in left field, running aimlessly around the field, at least she is getting some exercise and physical activity from it. One day it is either going to "click" for her or she is going to give up and not want to play, at least she looks like she has fun out there...for now!

Someone did quite a bit of modeling this month for the Spring line. She loves to hop, skip, jump, twirl and leap in the dresses. It is hard to get her to stand still and actually pose these days! I have my camera mostly on sport mode so that I can get her in all of her action, some of the outtakes usually end up being some of my favorite pics that show her personality and spunk!

We checked out a new pottery painting studio by the house to round out her fifth year. Of course she wanted to paint a mermaid for her room, well should I say have mom paint it for her room, we were there for over three hours and I definitely did more than she! She did choose all of the colors and where they went. Can't wait to see the finished products! Five years with our little mermaid have flown by, her tempers and outbursts got a little better this year but there are times I still think she is a terrible three! She has excelled in Kindergarten and insists on wearing a skort or dress to school, she stays on top of her specials schedule so she knows when she doesn't have PE and can wear a dress and not a skort! She loves for me to do her hair and always has to have a bow! She loves her babies, and now her AG dolls too, as soon as she gets home from school they are the first thing she goes too. She still has a laugh that I want to bottle up, a smile that lights up a room and runs to me every day at pickup and wants a "huggie".

Here are the pictures from the month.
