Someone ended up sick when we got back from her Disney trip and spent most of the rest of the week at home, she was able to go back to school on Friday, you'd think she would have wanted to stay home but she missed school, her routine, her teacher and her friends. Three days home with mom she realized wasn't as fun, she spent a lot of time watching movies on the couch, playing with her babies and her new marble run which she got for her birthday and loves! We did venture out of the house to pick up their pottery which turned out awesome and looks great in their bedroom.
Thank goodness she got to feeling better and was well enough for her little birthday play date we had planned, she wanted me to make a special cake and she needed some friends to share it with. She chose to go to Disney and not have a big party (well that and she said she doesn't like most of the people in her class because they do not behave) so we invited over three of her little friends (and a friend for J) to spend the afternoon with us. She was excited to wear her new American Girl doll outfit (that matches her doll) that she got for her birthday, it matched her ocean themed cake perfectly! The girls had a fun afternoon playing, dancing, and designing backpacks that mommy sewed up special for them. She was so excited to show everyone the cake I made her (it took me two days) and when they saw the inside of it they all were super excited! Everyone gobbled it up and said it was delicious! She opened her presents and they played some more before it was time for everyone to go home. It was a great afternoon and the girls all played so nicely together!
School is great and someone somehow manages to get lunch bunch with her teacher almost every Friday. She continues to do great with her reading and math, they started their midyear testing, looking forward to seeing where C stands from the start of the year. She got some new books from her sister for her birthday that she reads nightly in bed, and I love it when she can't figure out a big words and comes out to ask us what it is, or tires to spell it to us from her room! Mommy didn't buy the Spring school pictures but decided to take a picture of a picture with my phone for memories! They had their walk-a-thon this month to raise money for the school, the day ended up being cold and chilly but that didn't stop over 100 kids from dumping slime on our principal, C chose not to do it and let J be our family slimer! We continue to bike to/from school daily, one day I ended up being at school with my car (I was there doing PTO stuff and never got home to get my bike) so I had to drive home along side them, I have to say they were good little biker and stopped and looked when they needed to!
Soccer finished this month, the 8 weeks went by rather quickly this season. The weather was nice and it wasn't super hot which made it better, that and them being on the same team with only one game to watch! They weren't very good, they had more girls than boys on the team and came in second to last I think out of the eight teams. C said she had fun and got some exercise so that is what matters, I do have to say she does have some fancy foot work out there when she is trying to protect the goal and keep someone from scoring on her sister! She is excited to play in a new league for the Spring season, maybe a little more competitive league will help her?
Here are the pictures from the month.
