At this point week 11 is a blur. Too much has happened in the lat couple of weeks and we have been on the go. Nothing like traveling with an 11 week old.
We have been out to lunch plenty of times with J but with her nightly "witching" happening somewhere between the 5-9pm range, we still hadn't taken her out at night. Since her witching has calmed down the last few weeks, not an every night occurrence anymore, we finally decided to be brave and take her out to dinner at our favorite pizza place Grimadli's. Of course I had to get her all dressed up (see previous post and pictures in her pink poodle dress) so that everyone would goo and gah over her. I can report that she was an angel, slept through the hour wait, slept through dinner and woke up in the car about 5 minutes from the house. It was like we didn't even have a baby at the dinner table with us. Maybe we'll be going out more often and maybe we'll make pizza a Friday night ritual.

The rest of the week we spent getting ready for our trip to Florida, hence why there is no album this week (but there are plenty of pics for the next two posts). No more traveling as a carry on family, one medium size and one small size suitcase later (and a diaper bag, purse, backpack and recycle bag...oh yeah and the car seat and stroller) and we were ready to go on what will be many trips to Florida in J's lifetime.
We left Thursday (going back two weeks ago to the 9th) to head to Jax for Baby G's first birthday. We were fortunate when we got to the airport that there was an entire row open and were able to be moved so that we could have a seat for J and take the car seat on board. Once we checked the 80+ pounds of luggage it was time to get through security. I am always one of those people that complain about the slow pokes and not being ready when it is their turn to load the conveyor belt and walk through the metal detector. I was dreading all we had to push through the x-ray machine (at first we loaded the car seat wrong and it go stuck) and the looks we would get from other travelers. We seemed (well at least I thought) pretty well organized and got through pretty past for first time parents (let's see how we do on the way home!).
Waiting for our flight at DFW |
We got through security, got J changed and ready for the flight and off we went. She had her bottle going up and then fell asleep for the entire rest of the flight. The first class flight attendant even brought J her first wings!

We arrived in Jax and Nana was there waiting for us as we left the secured area. It was time to get the luggage (hope it all fit in Nana's car) and head to Aunt F's house to meet Baby G and Uncle D. More to come on our time in Jax and Miami once we get back to Dallas. I have to get the blog and pictures caught up before I go back to work on the 2nd (or else it will never get done like my Paris blog I have still yet to finish!).
