In all it was a pretty quite and non-eventful week, except for the fact that Sunday J turned 4 months old and of course we had to play dress up and have her picture taken! We also had our Bradley class reunion that day to meet the other four babies. Without going into too much detail and stressing myself out again, we only lasted about 30 minutes and then had to leave. J was just not in a good mood (I was kinda embarrassed that my normally happy baby was cranky and screaming!) and boy did she let it be known. All of the other babies were happy and being passed around, not ours! As soon as we left and about five minutes into our car ride home she was passed out, and of course back to her normal self after a MUCH needed nap! Hopefully (soon) we'll be able to get together again with the Bradley class babies.
Mommy also had her first two days (just one night) alone with J as daddy had to travel for work. Us girls did pretty well on our own (with having to take and pick up both J and Ginger) and I even managed Monday night to have us both fed and bathed by 7:30pm, not bad I don't think. We hope daddy doesn't have to go out of town again any time soon :)
We ended the week of Thursday with a trip to the doctor for J's four month check-up. She is doing great and has now doubled her birth weight. She was 12 pounds, 14 ounces (30%) and 24.75 inches long (75%). No cereal yet, she still needs to pack on a few more pounds and be a little more consistent with her eating, we are still at five bottles a day. We also talked to the doc about her sleeping habits the last couple of weeks and were told to loose the swaddle and put her to bed earlier (between 6-8pm). She also had to get three shots, the nurse even said that she hated to have to give her shots because she was so cute, but she was a trooper. She slept like a champ that night without her swaddle, but I partly thank the shots and Tylenol for a good nights sleep for all of us!
Oh yeah and somewhere over the weekend mommy got to witness the back to tummy roll. Poor daddy still hasn't seen it as she isn't that consistent with it yet, it is more of a coincidence thing these days. Everything else is pretty much the same, hands in mouth and the jibber jabber continues. Oh and the raspberries are a constant now, trying to get them on video.
Here are the pictures of the week.
