I'm a week behind and taking you back to the Friday that Nana left, we had a great visit while she was here and had our time with her, without everyone else being around. Just wait until the twins come and we are all at Nana's house...it will be just NUTS!
Friday night and for most of Saturday T came to stay with us. We went to the park, J got to go down the slide for the first time and do a little swinging. We had Chipolte for lunch, I am taking them off of my list of places to eat, no baby changer and the food is too spicy for J. I love T and he is welcome here anytime but I learned that I am not ready to be the mother of two.
Sunday we went to Cheesecake Factory for brunch/lunch, J was great and ate a smorgasbord of food. Of course every server that walked by had to stop and see or wave to her, she just eats up all of the attention! After lunch we stopped by the mall to take daddy birthday shopping but we didn't plan the time too well and walked out without anything, we window shopped so that next weekend we can go and buy.
Monday we got back into the swing of things. J went back to school full time after being out of her routine the last two weeks while the grandparents were here, well at least until Thursday afternoon when school called us to say she wasn't feeling well, fever and tummy troubles, no fun.
She added a new word to her vocabulary this week, duck, she is up to six words at 11 months old (see her word log). She tried Jello-O this week, it took her a little while to put a piece in her mouth, she wasn't sure of the texture when she was touching it, I don't think she was that big of a fan. We'll try it again in a few weeks.
She is still a hell on wheels, but we can't get her to try and walk on her own, she takes 1-2 steps and then decides it is easier to crawl. She stands by herself but then realizes what she is doing sits down. Someone doesn't seem to have confidence in herself. Maybe in the next few weeks she'll get the walking down before her birthday.
I'm working on a few things for her birthday and looking back at old pictures and videos is getting me all teared up. Our baby is growing up, sniff, sniff, WAY to fast but she still has no teeth! Three more weeks and she will be one :\
It goes tooooo fast. Enjoy every moment! VĂ³
