Week 3

Another week came and went and is in the books. The time is just flying by with each blink of the eye. I find myself reading back in the blog to remember what the weeks were like two years ago, they are pretty much the same.

The week started with a girls lunch at the Cheesecake Factory before Grandma left. C slept the entire time and J was a little lady and as good as gold. It was nice to get out of the house, I don't want cabin fever to set in!

Tuesday we had to say goodbye to Grandma after being with us for the last four weeks. While four weeks seems like a long time it actually went by way too quickly and we hated to see her go. I am so thankful that she got to spend this time with us and she helped us tremendously while she was here.

Wednesday and Thursday were mommy and C's first days alone. The second time around it is so much easier than the first. Where with J it probably took me until after lunch to get a shower, both days I was showered and dressed (with my hair blow dried) by 10am! I also managed to do six loads of laundry over the course of the two days. When daddy got home from work he asked what I did for the day, I had plenty to report!

Thursday C had her two week check-up which included a heal stick that was not fun, but she was a champ! She is doing great and packing on the ounces, she was 8 pounds and 13 ounces which is in the 70th percentile, little porker! J was always a peanut and in the 20-30 percentile until she was over a year old. Next doctors visit is at two months when her shots start.

Thursday night Aunt Boo and Uncle Mikey arrived and Aunt Boo immediately took to snuggling with C since J was already asleep. We had a great visit while they were here, we didn't do much other than chill at home (J had a special outing with them but more on that in her monthly blog update later this week), but on Sunday we did venture to Hard 8 to fulfill Uncle Mikey's BBQ request.

C's Social Security card arrived in the mail this week. Now let's see if I get her birth certificate before her 1st birthday, which is when I remembered I need to get J's!

Here are the few pictures from the week.
