The week started out with a trip to the doctor... again! Low and behold we have another ear infection! This time the doctor put her on a different and stronger antibiotic to hopefully kick its butt out of her system. Poor thing has spent the last two holidays not feeling well. With the crazy hot/cold weather and her never ending runny nose no wonder the poor kid can't get better. Most of the other kids in her class are going through the same thing so we aren't alone.
Someone has also been waking in the night like clock work between 11:30pm-12:30am and not wanting to go back to sleep in her crib. She was doing this before we found out she had an ear infection but since we have had her on meds she is still continuing to wake, we've resorted to putting the pack and play in our room and putting her back to sleep in there which she seems willing to do. She does have the coldest room in the house and even with an undershirt and socks on under her fleece sleeper I think she is waking because she is cold. Warm weather can not come soon enough for us all!
Christmas was this week and we celebrated with just the four of us at home. Tickets were way to expensive to travel this year and with all that is coming up in the new year we figured we've save some money. Miss C sort of took to opening her presents, J was ready to jump in and help rip them open when needed, she enjoyed climbing on top of and all over the boxes! She likes her new baby and has learned to give it kisses, which are a wet slobbery mess! She blows kisses and gives her baby kisses, now we need some real kisses for us :) She is more interested of course in J's new toys than she is her own, why do I even bother to buy toys for her age? So that the three year old can play with them instead which is what is happening!
C now knows what she has been missing all of this time when J gets an Oreo after dinner! At first she was like what is this and then once she got a taste she went to town on it, she was even picking the filling off with her fingers and kicking it off. I'm guessing she isn't going to want her cookies much longer and want these instead, maybe I should buy her the blonde Oreo's which will probably be a bit cleaner!
Still no signs of a tooth or her attempting to take her first step. She is a hellion on wheels with the walkers (or anything she tries to use as one) and we're having to put things away when we've had enough of her rearranging and sliding things (and herself) all over the house. At least she will still sit and play in the pack and play at times, maybe it is time to invest in one of those floor cages, although I could see her trying to pick it and up walk it across the room!
Here are the pictures from the week.
