The month started with J's 3rd birthday . Three years have gone by in a flash and I am hoping the time will slow down some and we will get to enjoy them being little just a bit longer.
J had both her three year old check-up and her second dentist visit this month. Mommy had the pleasure of juggling both girls for her check-up since daddy was tied up at work and couldn't come. It was great, no shots which made the appointment even better and no one cried! She cracked the doctor up with all of her talking and stories, the doctor definitely didn't need to look at her ASQ questionnaire I had filled out before the appointment, she demonstrated everything I answered in about 10 minutes! The one question I got a kick out of was when they asked if she could put together a four word sentence and give an example. This child talks in paragraphs and I probably wrote a run on sentence (that was not grammatically correct) with 10-11 words! She is still a skinny minnie and only 35% for her weight but she grew almost 4" in the last year, I've really noticed her sprouting the last couple of months.
After her first dentist episode, daddy drew the straw to take her to this appointment. Just as the dentist said last time, six months would probably make a difference and it definitely did. I anxiously sat at work waiting to hear how it was going. Then I got a text that said she was being a good girl with a video. She let them pretty much do everything other than x-rays and was a really big girl. She likes to count her teeth just like they did and tells us she has nine teeth on the top and nine teeth on the bottom. She is getting the rest of her two year old molars which is why everything is always in her mouth! She got a good check-up report and told everyone about her visit.

We had a quiet Thanksgiving at home, daddy and C were sick so J and I had turkey sandwiches to celebrate. We watched some of the Macy's parade and she helped me put up the tree. She did all of the decorating on the bottom and did a pretty good job once I got her to spread the ornaments out. We got daddy to put up the outside lights over the weekend when he was feeling better. J is in love with the holiday decorations and lights. Every day when she comes home from school we have to go around the block if it is dark enough to look at the lights and as soon as we get home she runs to the front windows to look at her inflatable Santa and snowman. Our lights and tree are on timers so when they come one she gets excited and says "it's magic!", I just lover her excitement! They learned Christmas songs at school and between that and our Mickey Mouse Christmas CD we are Christmas musiced out, she loves to sing!

Grandma came and stayed with the girls while mommy and daddy went to house hunt in Florida. Grandpa showed up for the weekend after we left and J had a great time with them. Grandpa is "silly" according to J and they are crazy together! G&G survived but Grandma was tired when we got back!
She behaved pretty well this month, there was a considerable difference in her Dr. Jekel episodes. Not sure if she is outgrowing this stage or if it is because Bert was here for the month but we'll take it. We watch Shark Tank in our house, maybe my million dollar idea can be a year round elf!

After talking up Santa for weeks, mommy sitting in the line for an hour and a half to get my golden ticket, and going to story time before seeing him, J was still not a fan. She was OK as we walked up but as we got close and I went to put her on his lap she burst out screaming! All I want is a good picture with Santa, I'm sure that will come one day but until then I will continue to torture them and pay a fortune for the screaming picture that I can show them one day!
After her traumatizing experience at Build A Bear when Claire as born, we braved the store again for her friends birthday party. At first she was scared and shy but then she opened up to her crazy self and got to build Ariel's kitty cat. She overcame her first fear! She has been more independent this month and is constantly saying "I can do it by myself" as she drags her many stools around the house. She can get herself fully dressed though I still like to help her with her tops as the way she takes them off she stretches them out so much! She likes to pick out what she wears and some interesting outfits have been worn to school. Her love of books continues and she attempts to read stories herself and makes up her own versions.
