Week 51

I think because we were off on MLK day I jumped ahead in my last post. We actually had lunch at the mall and dinner with  Auntie K and Trevor Monday of this week, I was wondering why I couldn't remember this week, it's because I got it all screwed up! I'm surprised I've remembered my head the last month with all that was going on.

We are still working on transitioning to milk and before we leave for Florida the formula should be all gone. No new foods this week, we are working on cleaning out the fridge and pantry with what little is left. Also no walking or teeth, I sound like a broken record on these subjects!

Daddy traveled all but two days this week. He came home in time to take Miss C to her one year old appointment and pick-up one of the cars to go ahead and drive it to Florida. We took C for her check-up but after getting her vitals and measurements taken the doctor came in and told us she couldn't get her shots, there is some stupid rule about not getting shots before you are actually one and if we gave them to her there would be trouble when we went to enroll her for kindergarten and she would need an extra round of shots. I was trying to be proactive and vaccinate my child but it will have to wait until we get to Florida and find a new pediatrician as I don't want her to have an unnecessary round of shots when she is five. Oh well, we got to say goodbye to our pediatrician (who I love and am going to miss very much) and did find out that C is up to 21.1 pounds (75%) and is still a tall one at almost 32" which is in the 98% for her age! She is up both two pounds and two inches on J when she was a year.

Daddy left on Saturday for Florida and other than taking J for a haircut and having lunch at Pei Wei we spent a girls weekend at home packing and hanging in our jammies. For my sanity and with all I had to do the girls spent more time than I would have liked in front of the TV, J did choose to watch the Portuguese video about five time over the weekend so I take that as an educational opportunity! C even got into the video and danced along to the chickens and elephants! One day she will be singing along!

C's learning to play more independently and with her bigger toys, that's when she can play with them and doesn't have J bothering her and trying to show them to her all of the time! I'm giving you a warning, turn the volume DOWN when you watch these, she screams at the pop-up animals in excitement!

Here are the few pictures from the week.
