This was a week of lasts. The girls had their last week of daycare, their last swing in their tree, C had her last bit of formula and is now on all whole milk, we had out last sleep in our Dallas house, the girls had their last plane ride for a while, and most importantly...mommy had her last day of work for a long while! Still no teeth or walking, I kind of wanted her to walk in our Dallas house so I could say both girls learned to walk in that house but that didn't happen.
In all the week was the craziest we have probably had to date. Daddy was still traveling for work and mommy had to get the house ready for the movers to come on Thursday. Lots of last minute packing to do all while I was still working and tending to the girls by myself.
Wednesday night daddy flew back with two special people who were coming to help with the move, Aunt Boo and Uncle Mikey. All of us girls were fast asleep by the time they got to the house so we didn't see them till moving day.
Thursday morning we woke up, took the girls to school, said our goodbyes to the morning teachers and came back to the house to finish the last minute things. By 9am the moving truck was there and the crew was in full force loading up all 8,500+ pounds of our crap! It was a long day and around 3pm we went and got the girls from school (said another round of goodbyes and yes I did cry) and they got home in just enough time to watch the truck finish loading and pull out! We had just enough time to put them in a bath, get dressed and head to the airport. Mommy, Aunt Boo and the girls were flying to Miami while daddy and Uncle Mikey hit the road for a long two day car trip to the 305. We got through security with all our crap and had just enough time to eat dinner before boarding our 7pm flight (and night flight on purpose in hopes the almost one year old would sleep). In all the flight went pretty well, C was antsy at first but then dozed off and slept for over half the flight. We got into Miami around 10pm and it was almost 11:30pm until we got to Nana's house, we were all exhausted after a long emotional day.
Friday we hung out and checked in with daddy as he was driving down. He arrived late that night while everyone was sleeping. Saturday mommy and Aunt Boo spent a good portion of the day getting ready for Miss C's birthday party. Sunday was the party and our last day with the girls for over a week, they were going to hang out in the MIA while we went to close, move into and unpack the new house!
It's hard to believe that the weekly updates are at an end and it's now time to move on to monthly updates for Miss C. Again a broken record but this year as flown by way to fast, in the blink of an eye. I'm kind of looking forward to not having to keep the blog up weekly, it's been a little tough, a couple monthly updates will be a little easier :)
