I feel that I am going to be writing about C's temper and sound like a repeat for the next year so bear with me. Time out's haven't been working, she thinks it's funny to go to her room, so I have started putting Mickey and Elsa into time out and not giving them back to her until she does what I have asked her to do/not to do. There are days they stay in time out for five minutes and there are days they go to timeout at breakfast and don't get "out of jail" until lunch. Her tempers and screaming are getting the best of me, I know I wrote about J having her episodes but this kid has her beat in the "terrible two" department, maybe it's because J was in school and C was a baby that it has erased from my memory but man is it rough! If you are going to listen to this video turn it down, for those of you who think C is an angel, here is her devil side!
C's started working on puzzles and she has graduated from the small Melissa and Doug puzzles to actual pieces. She is doing very well putting them together and mommy helped her to do this one for the first time, it was a favorite of J's. I really love watching their little minds turn when they are doing puzzles, I wish I could get inside their heads, their wheels just keep turning. The girls had a dinner date with daddy one Saturday night when mommy went out. They had to dress up, C is obsessed with the pockets in this dress, and wanted to go to our favorite spot, daddy survived, he should do this more often!
I'll take all the moments when the two of them get along and are not fighting. Babies and princesses are their mutually agreed upon playtime choices that I seem to hear the least amount of fighting from. They can't sit in the kitchen and color together, hence why we have two tables so that they each have their space and don't get on top of each others work!
We took a trip to the farm to feed the animals and play, we hadn't been there since January so the girls were excited to go. C this time was more into the animals and feeding them, she loved watching the ducks (they were going crazy and taking baths in the water) and feeding the baby goats with J. Both of the girls love being outside and don't mind getting dirty as long as they are occupied, but as soon as they are done what they are doing they want wipes and want to be clean! J started soccer and C has been cheering her on, well when she isn't eating or looking at pictures on my phone, trying to keep her occupied for 1.5 hours in the stroller is trying but mom is succeeding! I want to be able to watch J's game and not chase her around, bribery at it's finest.
The weather has been warm and we have been spending time outdoors, C is becoming my little Florida baby and has a nice tan starting, especially on her legs. She's been running/walking with me anywhere from 3-5 miles after we drop J off at school, she is an angel in the stroller as long as she has her wubbie, snack and can control the music on my phone, have to keep her happy! She picked out a purple fan and is riding in style. We've let them play in the hot tub a few times, it's the perfect way to occupy them for at least an hour, and the best part is we don't have to go in! She is trying to mimic what J does, hopefully we will have another swimmer soon.
We took a day trip to see the Mouse while Grandma and Grandpa were here. For being so young she remembered Disney World and what all we did last time, she was even asking to do specific things, meet Ariel, ride the carousel, Small World and the race cars, it is amazing what she retains. She got to do a few new things this time, she loved the shows (Country Bears, Tikki Birds, PhilharMagic), loved the parade and loved riding the People Mover in Tomorrowland, then again what is there not to love about Disney??? She is already talking about our trip next month with Nana and all that she wants to do again, this time Elsa and Anna are on her list, they are a very close second behind Mickey and I see a repeat of what we went though with J and Frozen happening very soon, only this time I think C is a bigger fan than J ever was. Of course Mickey had to come with us on our trip and she had to wear her Anna and Elsa necklace, both of which made it home and we didn't loose.
Mommy and daddy got to enjoy a few days away for mommy's birthday. The girls had a great time with Grandma and Grandpa, of course they spoiled them, Grandpa cooked steak because it's what the girls expect, they played in the hot tub and at the park, and went out for chicken wings which both girls now love, so much for just getting a 20 piece!
Here are the pictures from the month, the pictures from the Disney Trip are in the Disney post.
