I'm only human and forgot to post! We were just a little busy celebrating and making memories with our family. Christmas Eve was spent opening presents, eating way to much food, coloring, playing with their new princess castle and watching Santa make his way around the world. We had forgotten to make reindeer food so mommy quickly made some so the girls could go outside and sprinkle it on the lawn. While we were outside (almost 9pm) we saw a red flashing light in the sky and told the girls it was Santa, I've never seen them run so fast in their lives! They bolted for the door and were practically taking their clothes off before they could get inside the house so that they could put their jammies on, brush their teeth and go to bed. Within 20 minutes we had two sleeping angels and Santa got to work!
Christmas morning the girls were up at normal time (even after going to bed late) and were ready to dig into their gifts, the poor things had to wait for everyone to go potty and get ready, I was surprised they didn't just start ripping into them! We had two happy campers and not one complaint that they didn't get something (we did lots of talking about how Santa doesn't bring everything on your list and that they would have to wait to see if they got things from other people). C was super excited for her Northern Lights Elsa doll and J for her Skye dog. When we were done mommy probably spent 45 minutes taking everything out of the packaging, it gets crazier each year how things are packed!
Later in the day everyone was all together again for more presents, more eating and more laughs. The girls went from playing with one toy to another, to dressing up and signing, and basically put that on repeat all afternoon! We had a yummy dinner and after two full days (well three if you count all the prepping done on the 23rd) in the kitchen I was beat, and regretting a little not playing with the girls as much as I would have like to have, that is what we have the next two weeks for, jammies and new toys! We had a very blessed Christmas with lots of memories made.
The timer actually worked well for the kids and we only had to do two takes of each of these pictures! Maybe how I need to take pictures to get them to cooperate!
