65 months

School is coming to an end and there were lots of fun things this month to celebrate school ending. The butterflies they grew were to symbolize the kids graduating and moving on. It was really cute to watch how excited they were each morning to see if anything had hatched the night before. A few of the butterflies hatched during school and the kids got to see them dry their wings off and take their first flight. Once all the caterpillars hatched the kids had their butterfly release, a few of the butterflies stayed on their flowers, J's didn't so we borrowed one that did to take a picture! It was a really cute morning and the kids were so happy!

The kids spent their final month of preschool having some fun! They spent lots of time rehearsing for their graduation ceremony and learning the songs. J kept telling me it was a secret and would not give me a hint on what they were doing, she's a pretty good secret keeper! The kids had a field trip to the elementary school next to the preschool. They got to see what kindergarten is all about, got a tour of the school, played on the playground and had lunch in the cafeteria. We spent a morning with the class at the beach, not my favorite place to go but J and I had a great time walking the beach looking for shells, we found a few pretty ones, we saw a man catch a good size snook and saw some dolphin. J's teacher had a nice little Mother's Day breakfast for us, the kids sangs some songs and were proud to give us what they had made. I had J's last ever preschool conference, next time it will be a kindergarten conference. It was great to see the progress she made throughout the year with her writing, drawing and journaling. She is very much ready for school in the fall and is doing well on her sight words we are starting to practice.

J has been blessed with an amazing teacher the last two years and I can not imagine next year without her. Graduation was bitter sweet and mommy didn't ball like I thought I would, I was too busy laughing and being happy for the kids and the amazing job their did with their performance. The teachers and school staff outdid themselves and you could really tell all the hard work and practice that was put into making the day special for the families. All of the kids looked adorable in their cap and gowns, they all sang their little hearts out and they were all brave when it was their turn to talk into the microphone. J was asked four times this year and each time she answered the same...a cowgirl! I guess she is a Texan! After the graduation we had a nice family lunch at the pizza place by school, J loved her flowers we brought her too and she reminded me daily to change the water!

Our new house got started this month and J likes going to see the progress that is happening to her room! It's cute to see her reaction each time we visit and she notices all the work that has been done. I think they are now understanding the "build a house" concept and that we aren't getting the model house we have looked at for months. Just wait till they really start to see it coming together with the finishes and special touches.

We celebrated Mother's Day with a trip to see the Mouse. The girls knew we were going to Disney but didn't know what mom had up her sleeve for this trip! I had scored reservations for the new character breakfast back in January, to their surprise they dined with two of their favorite characters and the princes. I think I was more excited than they were. We were finally able to ride as a family on the Mine Train, J wasn't happy and cried most of the ride. The weather didn't cooperate for us, we made the most we could while it rained but didn't stay to see the new firework show, we were all a little disappointed but glad to be dry! J loved seeing the butterfly exhibit at Epcot and looking for caterpillars and cocoons, she was pretty good at spotting them! I think she would have stayed in there for hours if I would have let her, she is fascinated with butterflies, especially after learning about them in school the last month. We had a nice weekend despite J's meltdowns about the roller coaster and Soarin, this kid needs to get over her fear of rides, mommy and daddy like rides!

We went to a friends birthday party at a jump place we hadn't been to yet. The girls had a blast jumping on the trampolines, J enjoyed the ball pit area the best! I have to remember this place for when it rains this summer! Mommy celebrated her birthday this month too. The girls were cute and made me cards and each had to pick out a bouquet of flowers for me, of course I got pink from J.

Here are the pictures from the month. The rest of the Disney ones I will post when I get to that blog.
