This month was full of trips and the girls were away from home most of the month. We started with a trip to Miami for Uncle Danny's wedding. Someone was upset she didn't get to go, and wear a fancy dress, but we all know she wouldn't have sat still through an hour long Catholic mass. Instead she got to hang out with Uncle Jeff and Aunt Mimi for the afternoon and help paint a bathroom! The weather was terrible while we were in town and there wasn't much pool or park time. The girls did love riding their Flamingo, I think the twice we got to go in, Grandpa is a softie for buying them things! We went to Outback one night for dinner and C eyed the dessert menu the entire time we were at the table. She kept saying she wanted the brownie dessert, so what did Grandpa do, he ordered one for them to share! Someone quickly decided it was all hers and after a few sharing bites she pulled the bowl closer to her and went to town, if someone tried to get a spoonful she got mad, I think she ended up eating at least half of it by herself!
The girls stayed in Miami for almost a week and mommy and daddy got a
little break! They love being there without us as I'm sure they got to
do (and eat) things we don't allow (and of course she behaved and didn't have too many meltdowns)! The weather was a little more
cooperative and they got in some pool and park time. They went to the
indoor playground and had a great time sliding, bouncing and jumping all
over the rides, clearly from the videos C enjoyed it, wish we had one of these places at home.I'm sure they feasted on lots of steak, bread and ice cream, C's favorites, and some of the only things she will eat without putting up a fight! The girls enjoyed their time with G&G and C wanted to know when she could go back! I love how well rounded they are and at young ages are OK with being away from us for long periods of time.
C is definitely our girlie girl. She always has to be in a dress, and isn't too happy when I make her wear shorts and a t-shirt, she is in for a rude awakening when school starts back up! She loves to sing, dance and spin and surprises me when we are in the car and starts belting out the country songs, she likes the music loud and asks for it to be turned up. She loves to play babies, dress-up, have tea parties and hoard everything she can in many bags (which drives me crazy!). She loves to play at her minivan (what she calls her vanity) and do her makeup and hair, she is also into doing my hair, I just hope she doesn't get a brush or comb stuck in it!
Swimming is going really well and someone still thinks she is a mermaid. If you ask her if she is a fish she screams "NO! I'm a mermaid". Her kicks are improving some but she is still shaking her butt when she swims and is kicking more with her right leg (she's a left so I'd thought her left would be stronger). She is fearless and if you aren't looking the next thing you know she has swam and is clinging onto you! Daredevil! She wants to follow and do everything J does, she does her best to keep up and has a hard time remembering she is only three!
We rounded out the month with our Atlanta trip to see the cousins. C was the one I was nervous about the car ride with, she did OK but drove me crazy with about 90% of the questions, of course her nap was the last hour of the trip! This year she kept up with the other kids and nothing stopped her, not even the stairs! She quickly took possession of K's Ariel dress and wore it most of the time we were at the house. She loved our trip to the bowling alley, I might just need to find a league for her to play in, and loved BabyLand, she is in love with her new Cabbage Patch doll, Arielle Evie. Sometimes she calls her Arielle, other times it's Evie. I love watching her play and care for her and of course she now has to go everywhere with us!
Here are the pictures from the month.
