Back to school she goes

I never thought this day would come...Hallelujah! Today was C's turn to start school, keeping her entertained the last two weeks while J's been in school has been challenging!

We went and met her teacher last Thursday, she spent a few days the last couple of weeks in school in May with Ms. Janice, so she is familiar with the environment. The room is just down the hall from her room last year and Ms. Janice has it all decked out, I don't think you can see the color of the wall paint for all she has up! We met some of her new classmates (there are four boys and two girls), got her bag and school supply list. It was nice just having this time with her and not having to juggle between two classrooms like last year!

Last night after dinner we picked out her outfit, packed part of her lunch (she was happy to see her Mickey lunchbox that has been in the closet all summer) read some books and off to bed she went (even though she didn't fall asleep till almost 10pm, I think her days of napping are done if we want her sleeping around 8pm). She was up at 6:45 this morning ready to start her day! After some arguing over breakfast (what would a meal be without arguing or negotiating with her) she finally ate her breakfast. We took some pictures in the rain and then it was time to take J to school.

We got home and had about 20 minutes until we had to leave for her school. We played the cupcake game (her new favorite) and then loaded up her lunchbox and headed out the door. We got to school and of course it was hectic. She was a little shy going into her room but she put her lunchbox away, circled her name, said hi to her teacher and went a found a camera to play with (we had to take a picture with it). We gave her kisses and off we went, she did well and no tears!

Daddy got to pick her up from school, he said she didn't want to leave because she didn't get her turn with the play iPad and made a little bit of a stink. When he asked her in the car is she ate her lunch she made a big deal about not eating it, of course he got mad at her and gave it to her in the car. They got home, sat her down to ate her lunch, opening it up and found two pieces of apples, that stinker, she played him! When I got home I asked her about her day, she said she had a good day and had fun. She told me they didn't get to go on the playground because it was raining but go to go play in the chapel instead, that's about all I got out of her! Eventually she will tell me more!
