41 months

There was no camp this summer, instead we had camp mom. Between the rain and the heat trying to find things to keep them busy was a challenge. You'd think there would be more indoor options for things to do but we lack. We did some arts and craft at Michaels, although their projects are geared for a little older kids C still had fun and enjoyed cutting everything she could and making a mess, better there than my house! We checked out our local malls kids Thursday one week and the girls enjoyed watching a magician and decorating their own cake balls, of course C wanted more than one, this girl loves to eat! We went to the kids museum up in St. Pete with my moms group, C spent most of her time playing in the Publix area and shopping, she was a little possessive over the shopping carts and had a hard time understanding she had to share, so of course we had a few meltdowns!

We spent a day hanging out with Nana and Pop Pop. C got to experience her first round of mini golf, we are lucky she didn't whack anyone upside the head with the putter. I helped her through most of it and we got a hole in one on the first hole! She is definitely not the next Tiger Woods and got very excited when she got it in the hole by herself , after a continuous put! After put put we picked up Pop Pop and headed to the lanes for some bowling fun. C really enjoyed bowling when we were in Atlanta and was our little ringer. This time she was a bit upset because she got beat! They determined that Nana was a better bowler than mommy.

The mermaid continues to progress in her swimming and is becoming more and more comfortable every day. Her kicks are much better and she is wanting to try and swim the full length of the pool. We took a trip to Orlando for a little staycation and she loved being able to do what she wished in the zero entry area of the pool, helped to build her confidence! She loved the mini water slides, I think had she been tall enough she would have gone down the bigger slide with me, fearless!

She loves to look at books and recently she had started to "read" them herself and others. She tries to do J's flash card when we practice and has memorized a few of the words! She continues to love to dance and sing, she usually doesn't walk in the house, she either runs and eats it or twirls through the house in her dresses, which is all she wants to wear. She has learned how to work the Apple TV remote and control the shows, we now have constant fights over who gets to pick and select the show, maybe we need to enforce a TV rule or chart?

The girls are enjoying their summer sleepovers and not sure how it will be when we have to separate them when school starts again. C loves letting J sleep in her room and gets mad when J won't let her sleep in her room. We have been playing the cupcake game non-stop since we got back from Atlanta, she likes to make her own cupcakes and rules, she always has to have Auroras frosting and Ariel's seashell topper, if you try to take one she gets mad!

Here are the pictures from the month.
