After six hours of sleep mommy walked down to the nursery at about 6:30am Saturday morning. I thought I would be going to the nursery to ask them to bring her back to my room but after checking my ID bracelet they handed the bassinet off to me for me to take her back. Mommy was doing much better and was up and moving around pretty good. We (mommy helped more today with little J) spent the morning feeding, changing diapers, practicing swaddling, time has never seemed to go by so fast! Grandma and Grandpa (we are gonna call them G&G for short now) came around lunch time to visit and brought mommy and daddy some much needed food, the hospital food was not very good!
We maybe got in a small cat nap during "quiet hours" in the afternoon because all we could do was stare at our little angel (mommy was a little emotional) in awe. We still couldn't believe she was here and that we created such a beautiful, perfectly healthy little girl. We are blessed.
Aunt J came by for a visit to meet baby J and then G&G came back with dinner (they will do anything just to hold her!) and for a visit. We video chatted with various family members (J is going to get tired at starting at the apple on the back of the iPad) and got to show her off.
It was then time for a little more family time before giving her a last feeding and sending her to the nursery for another sleep over. Mommy and daddy took advantage of the sleep while we could get it! Who knows what we would be getting as far as sleep in the foreseeable future!
