Week 4

Week 4 brought on the discover of the Christmas tree (J enjoys sitting in her bouncy seat staring at the twinkling lights on the tree) and the focusing in on faces. She got to meet some more of her family this week as Aunt H flew in to join us for a short visit. We also confirmed a day care for when mommy goes back to work in March.

Saturday (and we are going back to the weekend before Christmas) we went out to lunch at Kuby's, a little German restaurant/delicatessen near SMU. It's one of Nana's new favorite places to go when she visits DFW. J slept through the meal and was an angel! Sunday we hung out at the house, nothing exciting to report.

Monday Aunt H flew in to meet baby J. Nana had fun playing dress-up with J while mommy went to the airport. Of course she had to have a bow on when she met her Aunt H. If you remember Aunt H was the one who made the bow box and all of the bows/headbands for J.

Tuesday we hung out at home and did some cooking. Nana made rice pudding for Christmas morning and Aunt H made some delish turkey meatballs and pink sauce for dinner that night.

Wednesday we went to Northpark before Aunt H and Nana had to head to the airport. Mommy did some more Christmas shopping and we had lunch at La Duni. We then went to see the Christmas trees in the mall and all J wanted to do was stare at the light, she wasn't too cooperative when we tried turning her around to take a few pictures! It was then time to say goodbye to Nana and Aunt H as they were headed back to the warmth in Miami. Everyone was sad for them to go but I am glad they were able to come and spend time with us.

Thursday was mommy and me day. Mommy was missing Nana, she was ready to do the 7:30am hand off and go back to bed but there was no one to hand J off to!

We are own our own for a week before Grandma and Grandpa come back to celebrate NYE with us. What am I going to do when the visitors stop coming?
