Week 3

Week three came and went without mommy updating the blog. Better late than never I guess. I'm still trying to meet my once a week blog post for now. Hopefully this week I'll be better about posting on time!

Last week was another busy week. Nana arrived on Saturday for an 11 day visit with us. She was so happy to meet baby J, I better watch out that she doesn't try and smuggle her in her suitcase back to Miami! Saturday night Nana also got to babysit for a short time while mommy and daddy went to Auntie K's Cookie Fandango. Mommy and daddy visited with friends (even though we talked about baby J the entire time), iced some cookies and drank some wine!

Monday morning we had a surprise when we went to change J's diaper, her umbilical cord had fallen off, a sign that she is growing way to fast!

Tuesday we went on our first outing (other than when we went to the doctor the other week) to Target and she slept the entire time. When we got home she got her first real bath, she enjoys bath time, just not the getting out part!

Thursday we did what every girl loves to do...go shopping! We ventured out for a short while to Northpark so that mommy could start her Christmas shopping. Baby J had her first meal at Maggiano's too. She was even nice enough to let us eat first before she decided she needed to eat!

After the mall daddy came home and we went to the pediatrician for what was supposed to be your  two week check-up  even though it was more like a three week check-up. We got a great report on J, she is up to 7 pounds, 9 ounces and is 20.5 inches long. She is eating like a champ and gaining weight, she is still a peanut though and only in the 25% for weight! The doctor was very pleased in how she is doing (mommy and daddy were told they are doing a great job) that she said she didn't need to see us until her two month check-up at the end of January.

The rest of the week was filled with playing, eating, sleeping and changing diapers, our new routine!
