This week we discovered that J likes to be naked! For over a week now J has gone from doing #2 once every 24-36 hours to almost every times she eats! Well all the pooping and wiping with diaper wipes unfortunately brought on diaper rash..boo! We spent the weekend "airing" her out on her playmat, trying to dry the rash out. Come to find out we have a little nudist on our hands, she has been the happiest when she has been in her birthday suit! That was pretty much our week, eating, sleeping and playing on the playmat.
Monday we did take her in to see the doctor just as a precaution. She checked the rash, told us how we should continue treating it (and I have to say it is 95% better now) and then discussed her sudden poop frequency. The doc told us it was normal and that we have a perfectly healthy baby who just likes to poop a lot, better than a constipated baby! J has also gained one ouce shy of three pounds since she was born, she is now up to 9 pounds, 5 ounces (well that was Monday, I'm sure she's gained a few more ounces since then). She'll definitely be over ten pounds at her 2 month checkup in a couple of weeks!
Hopefully this weekend we will get out of the house a little, mommy and I'm sure J have some cabin fever!

i can't get over how it each week 'little miss bright eyes' just keeps getting more and more beautiful!!! you can see her hair filling in - and those eye lashes too ... nana is loving the hint of 'red' and all the glamour shots - can't wait to hold this precious girl!!!
