Week 44

This week J turned 10 months old! There are a bunch more pictures in the links below. It's hard for me to decide which is my fave but I think it is this one and the selective color editing I did.

Over the weekend we took J shoe shopping, something every girl should love. Not sure how much a 10 month old, who has never worn shoes, loved trying on shoes. We had her foot measured (she is a 3-3.5 now) which she fussed over and bought her first pair of black patent leather Mary Jane's (in a size 4 because they were on sale). I can't believe how high priced kids shoes are, I have a hard time paying that much for a pair of shoes for myself. I need to start looking for shoes at the consignment store (I'm sure they are in pretty good condition since they out grow things so quickly) and finding deals online.

We've also started to wear more of her 9 month wardrobe, although I am still having trouble putting all of the 6 month clothes away, the onesies still kind of fit and the pants, which are now capri length, are totally fashionable. I would rather have a baby who is learning to walk in pants that are too short than too long!

Wednesday was Aunt J's birthday (we won't say which milestone it was) and to celebrate Mommy had a night out with the girls (and older children). The Chihuly exhibit is at the Arboretum here in Dallas and certain nights of the week they open again from 6-10pm for Chihuly nights. We packed a birthday picnic, enjoyed the evening, each others company and seeing the exhibit in both the daylight, dusk and dark. If you are reading this in Dallas I totally recommend seeing the exhibit while it is still here. These are a few of my favorite pictures I took.

Here are pictures from Mommy's night out and here are the rest of the pictures from the week.

  2. Shoes for kids- expensive, but worth it. Love stride rite. Even if the shoes are as much as mine. Wish we could have done Mary Janes... T's mom
