Week 45

We had another week of many firsts. To start the weekend (of September 29th) off we bought J her first pair of sneakers. They are white with silver and some small rhinestones, hey they were on clearance at Target so I couldn't be too picky. We tried them on her and she was like what the heck. Then we got home and put them on her and she tried to walk in them and wasn't digging them. We haven't put them on her again, guess we need to start doing so since someone won't keep socks on and it will start getting cooler here soon.

J also had her first treat of a chocolate chip cookie. She really hasn't been into finger food, other than watermelon, puffs and magic pop the last few weeks, so it took her a little while to decide if she liked it. I think she did but think she liked finger painting with the chocolate the most! Cookie Monster better watch out!

Someone is also getting much better at her walker and we were told that she stood by herself at school for a few seconds on Tuesday. She then realized what she was doing and they said that she quickly sat down, haven't witnessed this in person yet. Besides using her walker she is using her play table as a walker and they say she is constantly rearranging the toys at school. Only a matter of time...

Grandma and Grandpa flew in on Wednesday to take care of J while Mommy and Daddy headed out of town on Thursday to meet up with friends in Chicago for the weekend. Other than the two night we left her while we were in the Keys over the summer this would be our first time away, and out of state, from J. We knew she would be in good hands while we were gone so there wasn't that much worry when we left...really only if Grandma and Grandpa were going to survive and not be completely exhausted when we got back! There is a reason I am in bed by 9:30pm every night :)
