Week 47

Nana was here for the entire week and with that being said someone was definitely spoiled while she was here. She got picked up from school early every day, was rocked to sleep, had late afternoon pudding snacks, went outside to see her Halloween decorations, and had LOTS of attention.

We did the girls thing and went shopping and to lunch. We didn't buy much but enjoyed some time at the mall. Nana babysat on Saturday night so that mommy and daddy could go out, nothing too fancy, just pizza, wine and a relaxing time!

We went to the Arboretum to see the Chihuly exhibit and the pumpkins. I go a little too camera crazy with J, I even had to shoo off strangers from taking pictures of my child, I know she is cute and all, but what the heck, and it wasn't one person it was a few! At first J wasn't too sure about the pumpkins, she cried when she got too close and Nana had her touch one, maybe they were just too big for her. We gave her the bitty pumpkins (more her size) and she did much better, actually she couldn't keep them out of her mouth (Nana even washed one with soap and water so that we could take it with us the rest of the day to keep J occupied!), thank goodness for the baby pumpkins or else there would have been no picture taking! We had a nice morning/afternoon, saw the grounds, had a picnic and were pooped when we left! The Chihuly exhibit during the day was nice but it is ten times better at night.

We had lunch at Kuby's one day during the week and J came to the office for a visit. Thursday was daddy's birthday, we had a quiet celebration at home with oven fried chicken and banana pudding, his requests from Nana.

So last week I said that I thought she was saying baby, yup she definitely is, everything is baby even if it is not a baby. You open the refrigerator and the first thing out of her mouth is "bae be" as she points to the yogurt container, what a smartie! She looks at pictures of herself and G and says baby in such a sweet little voice. She is also saying dog this week. The first time she said dog it was like a grown-up saying dog, all of the syllables with a strong "g" on the end, and Nana and I looked at each other like "did that really just come out of someone so small". She continues to say dog but it is now more like "daw daw daw".

She tired some new foods, and like them, this week too. How can she not love steak when she is half Brasilian? She is also a fan of strawberries and avocado. Hopefully the being a good little eater continues???

Here are a bunch of pictures from the week. Most are from the Arboretum that I can not bare to delete.
