Miss C was back to school this week after being out for two weeks, mommy was glad to drop both girls off Tuesday after Memorial Day. Claire adjusted well back into the setting but by Friday I knew again something wasn't right when I picked her up and she had a "blow out" listed on her daily log sheet. Friday night she started to have more bowel movements and was not drinking as well as she had been.
I called the doctor on Saturday, we switched her back to soy formula and was told to watch her over the weekend and call back on Monday. We took the girls to lunch where C wanted nothing to do with her bottle. Later that evening mommy ended up with two showers from C throwing up all over me :( We decided we wanted her to be checked out and not wait until Monday and headed for her first visit to the children's ER. Of course she didn't poop while we were there and was as happy as could be (tired but happy) so other than check her vitals which were normal other than a slight fever, we talked to the doctor about her the last two weeks. He decided he would put her on another round of antibiotics since she was doing better while on then, he said sometimes it takes two rounds for tummy issues. We didn't get home till almost midnight and everyone conked out until past 8am the next morning. Now I know how to get Miss C to sleep, keep her up late!
We spent most of Sunday morning trying to figure out how to get her medicine filled since it required compounding and most pharmacies are independently owned and not open on Sunday! We were finally able to find a Walgreen's and had her medicine later that afternoon. I knew the medicine would help put her back on the right track so I wanted to start it up again as soon as we could. This so round the medicine was cherry flavored and someone was not a fan!
She is still stuck where she has been the last few weeks in the rolling over department, close but no cigar. All she needs to do is learn to pull her arm over and she will have it. She loves her wubbie and can pretty much put it in and take it out of her mouth herself as long as she can get to it. She also continues to be a blabber mouth like her sister and is really starting to giggle these days!
Here are the few pictures of the week. Daddy insisted on getting pictures taken so that he could update his profile picture on Facebook for the World Cup!
