Hopefully soon I will have time at work to actually spend time at lunch updating the blog rather than scoffing down my food while trying to work. Here I am two weeks behind but I guess better late than never! I don't remember much about this week, as it was opening week at work, but luckily I had a few bullet points written in my draft to job my memory.
We are trying to introduce J to real food and different textures. Kind of hard when we have been so busy and eat late. Hopefully in the next few weeks I might be able to start cooking again, we have been living on grilled meat and veggies, not really what a baby should eat, and J can start eating some real food (and maybe we can start to eat dinner at a real time with her). In the meantime we did introduce her to a peach, she loves baby food peaches, and she seemed to like it.
She has also become quite the mobile little one that baby jail had to be set-up in the family room to give mommy and daddy a break from chasing her. If we are in the room with her she is fine in it, but if we leave the water works start flowing! Listen to her new attention getting technique on the video...
On Monday she stood up in her crib for the first time by herself, we went into get her in the morning and she pulled herself right up. She hasn't done it much again, she hold her hands out while she sits and waits to be picked up, no she isn't spoiled!
She has gotten really good at playing pat-a-cake and starts to clap her hands by herself playing patty cake by herself wanting us to sing to her. It's really cute, hopefully she can get the "roll it" part down soon. That's Baby G's favorite part!
Other than that not much of an exciting week, just a very busy week! Oh yeah, I did enter her in the Gerber Baby Photo Contest (what most of the pictures are this week), yes I am exploiting my child, she is too cute not too! Voting starts on September 4th via Facebook (Vo you might need to get a Facebook account to vote). Will post the link on Tuesday. Please vote and encourage your friends to as well. It would be a nice way to start a college fund :) This is her entry picture.
Here are the rest of the pictures from the week.

WHy does she need a college fund?? She's all set to be a Mustang!! Just don't let her live at home. She has to live in the dorms but she's not allowed to have Mustang Laundry. And you have to adopt G too when he's 17 1/2 so he can go too :)
