Week 41

Not much to report from this week other than J was sick most of the week. This was her first sickness so I guess I can be glad we made it to 9 months without having a sick visit to the doctor!

We had to pick her up from school on Friday, she had a 104.4 fever. Daddy picked her up, got her home, gave her some Tylenol and a cool bath. By the time I got home she was doing better than when he picked her up and even had a bottle. As the afternoon went on it looked as if she was starting to feel a little better, he fever dropped and she even ate some dinner. We took her to the doctor that night (our office is open until 9pm, love that!) her temperature was down to 98, they told us it was probably a virus and to watch her. If she wasn't better by Tuesday to bring her in.

J had fever on and off all weekend. Our little miss independent, I can do everything by myself baby was a bit needy and cuddly (for once). She slept a lot and watched a lot of Baby Einsteins, they kept her entertained and calm. She didn't have much of an appetite except for her bottle and puffs. We did get to watch some of the first Canes football game. Not much excitement for a long weekend.

We had to take her back to the doctor on Tuesday as she still had fever that morning. After running some tests they found that she had a UTI. She got a round of antibiotics and within a day was pretty much back to her normal self, mommy was glad she could go back to daycare on Thursday! We have some follow-up tests to in the coming weeks but the doctor didn't seem too concerned.
