Week 34

This week Miss C sat up in her crib for the first time by herself. We lowered the crib a few weeks back but now it is time to take the mobile out! She is getting around very well and is mostly crawling on her hands and knees now, she is fast!

Mommy and C headed to Jacksonville on Saturday to visit our family there. Mommy survived her first solo trip with a kid and the flight was pretty uneventful. The flight wasn't full so we had an entire row to ourselves. Miss C was an angel on the plane, she had a bottle at take off and fell asleep, slept for an hour, woke up and ate some breakfast and puffs, watched two Baby Einstein videos, had a bottle at landing and then we were there. I received many compliments from the few sitting around me on how good she was, gold star for mommy!

We arrived in Jax to find my sister and oldest nephew sitting in the rockers waiting for us. After hugs and kisses I handed C off so that I could pee without a baby! I mastered in a short morning peeing with a baby in an Ergo carrier but man it is tough! We got our luggage and headed to the house so that C could meet her Uncle Dew and cousin C (she had already met Aunt Fonz and K when they came to Dallas in March).

We had some quietness when we first got there since the twins were napping, once they were up the house turned into a baby/toddler zoo and was a bit crazy for the next five days! Four kids three and under to feed, bathe, make take a nap and entertain is hard and exhausting work (and I was the one with the easy peasy baby!), only thing that would have made it more chaotic would have been if Miss J would have tagged along with us, while I wished she had come to play with her cousins I'm glad I left her home with daddy! Kuddos to my sis and bro-in-law for the zoo they have lived with daily for the last 20 months, hard work and you guys are doing great!

Saturday we just hung out at home, played outside, took a walk,  grilled out (and drank lots of wine!) and watched the Canes game. Sunday we took the kids to a pumpkin patch/farm to exert some energy. After the rain the night before it was so hot and humid that within an hour we were all dying and taking cover under the little bit of shade. The kiddos at some lunch and then we headed back for nap time. After nap time while the kids were playing someone crawled right over to her Uncle Dew and stood up for the first time by herself. This led to her continual standing up by herself, on the furniture, in K's crib, in the pack and play, she learned a new trick and wanted to make sure to show it off!

Here are the pictures from the week. No luck at getting a good picture of the kids all together! This is the best Aunt Cocoa could do.
