28 months

This kid is a ham, a piece of work and isn't even two and a half yet! She loves to play dress-up and get all dolled up. I'm starting to think that she might be more of a girlie girl than her older sister, we are in trouble! She walks with attitude and shakes her butt while she walks (and talks), she almost always has an accessory or piece of jewelry when we leave the house, cell phone included, and is definitely too big for her britches. Of late she is wanting to pose for the camera and see the pictures I take.

Cousin Love 2016 was a fun and exhausting week for everyone!  C wasn't a big fan of the beach at first, she like her mommy isn't a fan of the sand. Eventually she got over not wanting to be there because she realized the alternative was to be away from her mommy! She had a great time playing and swimming with her cousins and the two C's spend a lot of time bonding over Cheetos (I see a yearly pic of the two of them with orange faces and fingers) and other food (the two of them LOVE to eat). She had her first boat ride, which she liked, but wasn't a big fan of wading on the sandbar for shells and sand dollars, she got over that pretty quickly when she realized that is where mommy wanted to be, and followed her sisters lead in collecting probably over 50 sand dollars!

We took two last trips to the aquarium before our membership expired.  Nana was finally able to make a trip with us and the girls were so excited to she her "their aquarium" and all of "their animal friends". C loved showing Nana the seahorses, Nemo and Dory (she is obsessed with them), manatees and loved sharing a cookie with her! Both C and I are going to miss the chocolate chip cookie treat we get when we go, they are pretty yummy.

We celebrated Father's Day with a pancake breakfast for daddy at the girls request. Daddy watched some soccer, got in a nap and got a cool new hat (and purple shirt that J picked out). In the afternoon Nana and Pop Pop came over to BBQ, no swimming this day as we were all a little water logged from being in the pool and at the beach all week.

I could probably start a photo album of all of the pictures I take of C eating, she loves to eat! We finally caved and let her have an ice cream cone at Chick-fil-A instead of a cup. She did very well with her first cone but didn't want to share! We have since been back and forget about a cup, she is only a cone girl now! She has also recently started separating her food out by color, I caught her separating M&M's and then saw her do the same thing to the tri-colored pasta one night, OCD tendencies at a young age!

This kid is becoming the little puzzle expert. She has mastered three out of six of the scenes from J's princess block puzzle, she can do Ariel, Cinderella and Aurora by herself. She has also gotten the 48 piece Minnie puzzle done by herself and can put 3/4 of most of the other 48-50 piece puzzles together by herself, pretty soon she will be doing the 100 piece ones with J.

After a little coaxing and finding out that she just wasn't a fan of the small potty, someone has decided she likes the big potty and has started to potty train. We are only in the beginning stages but within a few days she went poop on the potty and got a Nemo! She gets all excited and is proud of herself when she goes and quickly tells me she needs an M&M. Hopefully by the time school starts she is wearing underwear full-time.

Grandma and Grandpa came over to spend Fourth of July with us. They always bring the girls surprises and C was very excited for her new Frozen and Paw Patrol underwear. We (along with all four grandparents) took the girls to see Finding Dory, C's first movie in the theater. She was as good as gold, sat on my lap (and then Grandma's) the entire movie eating popcorn (I think she ate half a bucket herself) and laughing at the movie. Now that we've opened up the can of worms on going to the movies I see us now having to take them more often!

Here are the pictures from the month.
