This week was daddy's turn to swim with J. After teaching the past week the last thing I wanted to do on Saturday morning was get in the pool! It was hard to just sit there but that is what I did. Daddy and J had a good time, she really likes the water and is even starting to kick every so often. We have two more weeks of lessons thank goodness, mommy wasn't smart when she picked the 9:30am time which is in the middle of J's morning nap!
Needless to say we had a VERY cranky baby for the remainder of Saturday. She wanted nothing to do with taking a nap and by 6pm was so overly exhausted, I think she was fed and in bed by 6:45pm. But she did sleep like a champ until the next morning.
She has now figured out that she can peek around the quilt on the one end of her crib, that is where she now waits for us when she wakes up. Still waiting to see her standing when we walk in but I think that is still a little ways away.
On Tuesday morning when I was getting dressed this is what I heard, not what mommy's want them to say for the first time!
J: "da da da da da"
Daddy: "yes, da da da da da"
J: "da da da da da"
Not sure if she is really associating the da da with her daddy but the syllables now regularly flow out of her mouth now!
Wednesday night we went out to dinner with some friends that were in town visiting. Good to see them and their two cutie patooties! It's amazing how much they have changed this past year.
Thursday Uncle D arrived for a long weekend with us. Daddy had a work dinner so the gals had a date wtih him at the Mexcian place by our house that night. J behaved pretty well for being out her second night in a row and being kept up past her bedtime!
